He was predeceased by : his parents, Wayne B. Cayton and Naomia B. Pratt Cayton; his sisters, Patsy Darlene Marks and Phyllis Naomia Tracewell; and his grandson Joel Waldron.
He is survived by : his wife Karen Cayton; his children, John Cayton, Jr. (Christa), Rose Persinger (Brian) and Robert Cayton (Sarah); his stepdaughter Amy Cook; his brothers, Jim Cayton (Pam) and Wayne Cayton (Donna); and his pet Buster. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
