He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Stanley Stout and Samuel E. Stout Sr.; his sister Susan; his parents-in-law, Edy M. Hourani and Nellie Helen Hourani (Metry); his brother-in-law Ellis P. Salim; and his nephew Norman Paul Salim.
He is survived by: his wife Loraine Hourani-Stout; his children, Samuel E. Stout, III and Alaina Noel (Stout) Crislip (Scott Atkins); and his grandchildren, Penny L. Stout, Riley H. Crislip and Lila G. Crislip. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
