Annie Darnell Obituary
Lucy "Annie" Darnell, age 61, a resident of Volga, WV., departed this life peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026, in the JW Ruby Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was a beloved mother, nana, sister, and friend.
Her spirit was as vibrant as the autumn leaves that colored her birth month born on October 10, 1964, in Philippi, WV., a daughter to the late Billy Gene Robinson, and Annabelle Lucy (Wolfe) Robinson.
Annie leaves behind one son; Carl Hutchison, and life partner, Heretta Newbrough of Philippi, daughters; Lacy Hutchison of Moatsville, WV., Shasta Hutchison, and life partner, Marty Flesher of Philippi, grandchildren; Keagan Newman, Destiny Shiflett, David Forquer, Remi Schoonover, Tyson Schoonover, and Waylon Hutchison, brothers; Dink Robinson, and wife Linda of Philippi, Joe Robinson, and partner Sherry Stutler of Flemington, WV., Rick Robinson, and wife Billie of Elkins, WV., sister; Sis Tacy of Philippi, WV., several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister; Mary Robinson, and brothers; Billy Robinson, and Buddy Robinson.
Annie was a go get er done lady, she loved to travel to the beach and soaked up the sun. She loved to swim in the ocean, also going to the river, camping, fishing. She enjoyed working in her flower garden. Annie loved to shoot pool, crocheting and sewing, she loved to watch soap operas and western shows. She loved her family and her grandchildren. Annie's request for cremation will be honored. A celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of her family.
