He was predeceased by: his parents, Hersel "Red" Payne and Doris Lee Payne (Stalnaker). He is survived by: his spouse Robin Lynn Payne (McDaniel); his daughter Melissa Foy (Bruce); his grandson Benny Haddix (TJ); and his siblings, Timothy Payne (Jan), Jill Marsh (Dennis), Brenda Currence (David) and Amy Mick (Travis). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
