He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Kirby and Grace Kirby; his wife Icy; his brother Howard Kirby; his brothers-in-law, Nelson Adams and Ronnie Spencer; his in-laws, Delford Smarr and Chuck; and his grandchildren, C. J., Taylor and Kyleigh Jean.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Kirby (Julie), Lee Kirby (Jerica), Betty Rice (Allan) and Angie (Ted); his grandchildren, Brandid, Grace, Caroline, Sarah, Chrisin, Hope, Brooke, Henry, Thomas, Jacob, Alexandria, Logan, Megan, Zach, Josh, Franklin, Levi, Rylee and Chloe; and his siblings, Wilbur Kirby (Donnie), Bill Kirby (Connie), Betty Adams, Wilma Spencer and Norene Kirby.
