With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jannie Rachel Wheeler of Walton, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 22, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Jannie's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Jannie has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Lee Stone and Tilda Jane Estep; and her siblings, Rita Darby, Carolyn Stone and Clifford.
She is survived by: her children, James Lycans (May) of Walton, Herbert Wheeler Jr. of Culloden, Darla Taylor of Ripley and Penny Hartley of Ripley; and her sisters, Katheleen Grubbs of North Carolina and Annie Holstein of North Carolina. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and twenty seven great-grandchildren.
