She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Hicks and Mary Alice Phillips; her daughter Julie Ann Hankins; and her siblings, Kenneth Hicks and Brenda Robertson.
She is survived by: her close friend Dallas Sturgill; her children, Elmer Junior Hankins, Bill Matt Hankins, Douglas Junior Adams (Valerie Louise Adams), Billy Dean Adams (Tonya Asbury), Steven Lee Adams (Crystal Powers), Betty Holt of Virgie, KY and Margie Byrd (Jimmy) of Sophia; and her sister Evelyn Ilene Phillips. She is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
