He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Lee Smith and Virginia Stapleton Smith; and his nephew Holdin Kane. He is survived by: his children, Samantha Smith of Wayne, WV, Charles Smith (Kayla) of Wayne, WV and Richard Smith (Haley) of East Lynn, WV; his siblings, Linda Leffingwell (Darrell) of Huntington, WV, Kimberly Smith of Wayne, WV, Sandra Smith (Timmy) of Ona, WV, Roger Smith (Judy) of Illinois and Jamie Smith (Shawnda) of East Lynn, WV; and his grandchildren, Payton, Mason Stapleton, Bailey Smith, June Stapleton, Raegan, Liam, Riley, Virginia, Charlie and Remington Smith.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel (79 Bridge St, Wayne, WV 25570). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
