He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Adkins of Wayne; his children, Nancy Lewis (Johnny) of Wayne and James Adkins (Leona) of Wayne; his sister Thelma Niday of Texas; his siblings-in-law, Lois Edmonds of Lavalette, WV and Glen Berry of Lavalette; his grandchildren, Christina Frye (Josh), Robert Adkins, Andi Adkins, Jami Stamper (Josh), Brittany Perkins (Fenton) and Scott Edmonds; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Pepper, Angelina, Kaleb, Kyler, Karli, Autumn, Isaac, Sienna, Kiara, Cheyanne, Josiah, Jubile, Jacob, Addi, Brynleigh Don, Case, Ava, Eli and Easton.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Morris Funeral Home (79 Bridge St, Wayne, WV 25570). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel (79 Bridge St, Wayne, WV 25570).
