She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter "Bus" Adkins and Avis G. Osburn Adkins; her husband Donald Carlos Adkins; her sons, Charles Adkins and Carlos Adkins; and her sisters, Emma Dick and Glenna Berry.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Lewis (John) of Wayne, WV and James Adkins (Leona) of Wayne, WV; her sister Lois Edmonds of Lavalette, WV; her siblings-in-law, Thelma Niday of Texas and Glen Berry of Lavalette; her grandchildren, Christina Frye (Josh), Robert Adkins, Andrea "Andi" Adkins, Jami Stamper (Josh), Brittany Perkins (Fenton) and Scott Edmonds; and her great grandchildren, Jack, Pepper, Angelina, Kaleb, Kyler, Karli, Autumn, Isaac, Sienna, Kiara, Cheyanne, Josiah, Jubile, Jacob, Addi, Brynleigh Don, Case, Ava, Eli and Easton.
