It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Lee Payne Sr. of Webster Springs, West Virginia, who passed away on February 12, 2026, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Dennis Payne, Jr.; his niece Kayla Payne; and his mother-in-law Mary "Mousie" Hall. He is survived by: his parents, Dennis Howard and Martha Ellen Payne, Sr. (Cochran); his wife Mendy Payne (Hall); his son Eddie Payne, Jr. (Miranda); his grandsons, Paxton and Carter Payne; his sons, Aaron Quinn and Cash; his son-in-law Matt Roach (Alisha); his grandchildren, Jake and Harper; his sister Amanda McCoy (Tim); and his niece Bobbi McDaniel (Ty). He is also survived by three boys; a host of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, friends may send a memorial contribution to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
