He was predeceased by : his parents, John H. Tanner and Ella J. Ware Tanner; and his brother Leslie Howard Tanner. He is survived by : his brother Hubert "Bubby" Tanner of Diana; and his aunts, Ella McCourt of Webster Springs, Elma Tucker of North Carolina, Evelyn Phillips of North Carolina, Sharon Tanner of Ohio and Donna Tanner of Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends.
