She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Bowen and Velma Trader Bowen; and her siblings, Harold Leon Bowen and Erma Birkhimer. She is survived by: her children, Kent "Chico" Ruiz, James Ruiz, John Ruiz (Melissa), Kim Meador (Gordon) and Lisa Zanolli (David); her grandchildren, Sean, Jared Meador, Matthew, Joel Zanolli, Emily, Maura and Madison Ruiz; and her great grandchildren, Isabella and Jaxon Meador.
In lieu of food, flowers, and memorial gifts, contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church or any organization that supports our veterans.
