He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Wilson (Burgettstown) and Janet Audra McDonald Wilson. He is survived by: his siblings, James Wilson (Deborah) of Georgia, Jeffrey Wilson of Weirton, Mark Wilson (Angela) of Weirton and Rene Patton (Greg) of Gahanna, OH. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home & Cremation Services (380 Penco Rd, Weirton, WV 26062). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hanover VFD, in memory of Eric's father, James, 9 Starck Drive, Burgettstown, PA 15021, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
