He is survived by: his father John Paul DematteisSr; his grandmother Rebecca Anderson King; his partner Evan Mayle; and his siblings, Ashley White (Preston Blacknell Jr.) and Tommy Lee Hayhurst.
One of his most cherished memories was visiting the Aviary during COVID and getting the chance to pet a penguin, which brought him so much joy.
