It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard J. Francis of Weirton, West Virginia, who passed away on January 6, 2026, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Richard is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Francis and Jean Francis (Mostowski); and his brother David Allan Francis. He is survived by: his daughters, Jessica Francis Safreed (William "Roy" Safreed) and Stacey Ann Francis; his grandchildren, Ariella Francis, Liam R. Safreed and Isla Safreed; the mother of his children Nancy Ann Francis; his brother Thomas Phillip Francis (Susan); and his sister-in-law Jean Considine.
