He was predeceased by: his mother Nelta McVicker Thompson; his siblings, Brian Earl Shreve and Caron Louise Paris; and his stepbrother David Shreve. He is survived by: his son Richard "Chad" McVicker (Kelly); his grandchildren, Alexis Chadwick, Jared McVicker and Lukas McVicker; and his great grandchildren, Carmella McVicker and Camden Chadwick.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home (3219 Main St, Weirton, WV 26062). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Weirton Salvation Army. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Richard Lynn McVicker 's name.
