He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Stanley Rawlings and Mona Mitchell Rawlings; and his brothers, William "Bill" Mitchell Rawlings and Richard "Dick" Gene Rawlings. He is survived by: his sons, Scott Edward Rawlings of Chicago, IL and Robert Brent Rawlings (Alexis); his granddaughters, Amelia and Marjorie of Midlothian, VA; and his sister Marilyn Smith (Darrell) of Alexander, IL.
