She was predeceased by: her parents, George A. Sheotes and Mary Brewer Sheotes; her husband Stanley "Buddy" Stanar; her grandson Andrew Stanar-Johnson; and her siblings, William, Ernest Sheotes, Katherine Vidich and Dorothy Truax.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sandy Stanar, Stephanie Checkler (James), Cynthia "Babe" Maragos (Vasile) and Michelle Stanar-Biele; her grandchildren, Maricela Irene Wall (Ryan), Arianna Lynn Kettmer (Brian), Milena Vierma Maragos, Strati Vasile Maragos (Stevan), Sava Andrew Checkler, Selena Michelle Biele, Angelica Renee Biele and Luke Nicholas Biele; and her great grandchildren, Maya Ann, Lucia Maria, Nova Sean Wall, Sophia Michelle and Connor Andrew Kettmer.

Visitation was held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Holy Resurrection Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church (528 N 4th St, Steubenville, OH 43952).
