He is survived by: his son Manuel D. Showalter (Felicia) of Snellville, Georgia; his siblings, Clinton H. Giles (Sharon) of Charleston, Diana J. Gentry (Greer) of Charlotte, Dassa J. Giles of Bluefield, Dameta J. Brown Carter of Bluefield, Danette J. Giles of Bluefield and Delphia J. Giles of Huntersville; his grandchildren, Lapria Showalter of Snellville, Angel Needham Giles of Chicago, Illinois and Daylon Showalter of Lithonia, Georgia; his great grandchildren, Hunter Atterbury, Grayson Needham and Victor Needham; Cheryl Garner of Charleston. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.
