Friend of Wellsburg, West Virginia, born in West Liberty, West Virginia, who passed away on September 30, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Nile Friend; his wife Norma Jean Poole Friend; his children, Arthur Friend Jr. and Connie Mae Friend; and his siblings, Charles Friend, Dale L. Friend and Norma Jean Friend.
He is survived by: his children, Donald E. Friend (Kathy) of Kentucky, Bonnie Lou Monnett of Weston, WV and Sally A. Alkire (Tom) of Weston, WV; and his sisters, Violet I. Spencer, Helen V. Tennett and Dorothy A. Gardener (Bill) of Jane Lew, WV. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
