He was predeceased by : his parents, Glenn Fithen and Dorothy "Louise" McKinstry Bennett Fithen; his brothers, Charles Fithen and Larry Bennett; and his granddaughter Megan Sisto.

He is survived by : his sons, Brian Bennett of Wellsburg, WV, Greg Bennett (Christina), Barry Bennett (Samantha) of Wellsburg, WV and David Bennett (Paula) of Colliers, WV; his sister Laura Work (Terry); and his grandson Seth Bennett.
