He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard "Skeet" Irvin, Sr. and Clara Irvin (McQuisten); and his brother Charles Irvin. He is survived by: his wife Janet Irvin (Atwell); and his children, Deborah McCarthy (Kevin), Howard Rusty Irvin, III, Janice Shaffer (David) and Richard Irvin (Cecelia). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wellsburg Christian Church at 10th & Charles St. Wellsburg, WV 26070.
