He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Mozingo and Eleanor Dennis Mozingo; and his sons, Jerry Scheider, Buddy "Wig" Mozingo, Donald Sr. "Duke", Warren and Louis Mozingo (Alice Taylor).

He is survived by: his close friend Eva Shaffer; his children, Larry "Chauch" Maynard of Wellsburg, WV, Scotty Smith (Marsha) of Weirton, WV, Allen Painter of Steubenville, OH, Christina Mozingo (Michael Corbin) of Avella, PA and Gayle Kleinedler (Jared) of Wheeling, WV; and his siblings, George Mozingo (Nancy), Ronnie Mozingo of Wellsburg, WV and Josie Martin of Follansbee, WV. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
