It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Leroy Smith Jr. of Wellsburg, West Virginia, who passed away on March 26, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Leroy and Alice Smith, Sr. (DeGarmo); and his siblings, Mary Ann Wilson, Carol Smith and Thomas Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Smith (Schoonmaker); his children, Richard Smith (April) of Weirton, WV, April Boyd (Wes) of Steubenville, OH and Thomas "TJ" Smith (Deborah) of Weirton, WV; his grandchildren, Richard (Amberleigh), Ashley, Angeline (Jon), Kaylee, Dante (Areaha), Tucker, Wyatt, Brian, Sarabeth and Rikki; and his great grandchildren, Braxley, Olivia, Mikey, Lincoln, Amelia, Evangeline, Parker and Brailee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
