He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thompson Sr. and Shirley Buffington Reed; his son William "Bill" Thompson III; and his brother Robert Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Debra "Debbie" Cercone Thompson; his children, Craig Thompson of Weirton, WV, Johnny Thompson of Wellsburg, WV, Ryan Haddon of Wellsburg, WV and Heather Haddon of Wellsburg, WV; and his siblings, Edward Thompson (Carol) of Virginville, WV, James Reed (Susan) of Cleveland, OH and Tammy Tamms (Suheil) of California. He is also survived by two grandchildren and a niece.
