We announce the death of Donald Louis Lucas (West Hamlin, West Virginia), born in Ranger, West Virginia, who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 81. Donald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Lucas and Virla Lucas; and his siblings, Bud Lucas, Harry Lucas, Sylvia Casto of Clearwater, FL and Ellen Adkins.
He is survived by: his brother Lonnie; his sister-in-law Carol of Barboursville; his sons, Charley (Shannon), Brian (Michele) and Chris (Melissa); Carla Johnson (Wayne) of Alabama. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McGhee-Handley Funeral Home (6670 McClellan St, West Hamlin, WV 25571). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lucas Family Cemetery.
