He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Kinney and Ruth Elena Hughes Kinney; his grandson Patrick Blain Harris; and his brothers, Ray Edward Kinney, Ronnie Kinney, Robert "Bob" Kinney and Rodney "Buck" Kinney.
He is survived by: his daughter Paula Jean Harris (William); his grandson Anthony Williamson (Amanda); his brother Leroy Kinney; and his nephews, Russell "Rusty" Kinney (Jennifer) and Ronnie "Joe" Kinney (Misty). He is also survived by 4 great nephews and one great niece.
