He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles E. Garton and Opal Dunham Garton. He is survived by: his children, Field Garton and Lindsay Wahlquist (Matt); his siblings, Scott Garton, Deborah Garton (Fred Butler) and Melissa Allison (Rusty); his grandchildren, Olivia Namm Garton, Max Namm Garton and Liam Wahlquist; and his stepsons, Adam Cayton and Ben Cayton.
