He was predeceased by: his parents, Snowden Vance and Virginia Elza Vance; and his siblings, Douglas Vance, Steven Vance and Frances McLaughlin.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Matthew Kemper of St. Albans, WV and Nancy Kemper of Weston, WV.; and his grandchildren, Matthew F. Kemper, Mariah Daniels, Owen Kemper, Eva Kemper and Henry Kemper. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
