It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Alan McClain of Weston, West Virginia, who passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rexil Kenneth and Marguerite Orndorff McClain; his children, Joanna and Jeremy McClain; and his sister Brenda McClain Drowns.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Stemen McClain; his children, Jason McClain (Jessica), Jonathan McClain, Susanna Berg (Scott), Joseph McClain (Lisa), Sarah Knight, Joshua McClain, Sherah Kraan (Joshua), Saron Wilt and Joel McClain; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Kelsey, Cara McClain, Emma, Mary, David Berg, Josiah, Abigail, Kailey McClain, Elijah Knight (Lexi), Bethany Knight, Joanna, Sarenna, Lincoln, Garrett, Keerath, Margolise Kraan and Elise Wilt; his siblings, Larry McClain and Carol Glowski (Dan); and his brothers-in-law, Dan Stemen (Terri) and Dave Stemen (Jennifer). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home (201 Edison St, Nutter Fort, WV 26301). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
