With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Thomas Strother of Weston, West Virginia, who passed away on September 5, 2023 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Lee Strother and Thelma Strother (Critchfield); and his brothers, Jack Strother and Dan Strother. He is survived by : his wife Virginia Strother (Cutlip); his son James, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Diane (Carlisle); and his grandsons, Nicholas and Nathan of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by nephews as well as many good friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Jim be honored by making a donation to the Braxton County Animal Shelter at 10 Animal Shelter Lane, Sutton WV 26601.
