She was predeceased by: her parents, William Templeton and Patricia Templeton (Teasdale); and her brother William "Butch" Templeton. She is survived by: her husband James Hawkins; her sons, Joseph Hawkins (Jasmine), Jason Hawkins (Miranda) and James Hawkins Jr.; her grandchildren, Morgan Hawkins and Collin Hawkins; and her siblings, Brenda Webb and Dorcus Carmichael. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
