She was predeceased by : her parents, James M. Harris and Florence R. Harris Jeffries (Ruble); her husband Ruben E. Shirley; and her siblings, James L. Harris, Arretta P. Gum and Marsha J. Keene.

She is survived by : her children, Susan M. Ellis (Derek) of Ottawa, IL, Jon P. Horn (Junette) of Paducah, KY and Henry Horn of Marseilles, IL; her grandchildren, Kyle Horn, Kiersten Horn, Brittney Rush, Skylar Ellis and Nathan Horn; and her sisters, Carolyn Sue Swiger (Ray) of Weston and Marlene Wade (Gary Hamilton) of Weston. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
