He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Harris and Rachel Garnet Teller Harris; his spouse Willowdean "Billie" Straley Harris; and his brother Pat Harris. He is survived by: his sons, Eric Harris (Carol) of Crawford and Thomas E. Harris of Crawford; his grandchildren, Rachel Harris of Fairmont, Sean Harris (Elizabeth) of Buckhannon, Emma Harris of Crawford, Casandra Case (Luke) of Keyser, Michael Smith (Sophia) of Weston and Brandon Smith of Romney; his sister Beckie Stout (Mackie) of Weston; his sister-in-law Wilma Harris; and his close friend Chuck Wilson (Judy) of Weston.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Snyder Cemetery.
