He is survived by: his children, Christy Fitzgerald (Edward) of Weston and William Alexander, IV (Cathy) of Marbury, MD; his grandchildren, Caitlin Boyce, Edward Fitzgerald, Jr. and Michael Alexander; his great grandchildren, Tanner Wade Schoppert and Cheyanna Boyce; and his brother Ira Alexander.
