He was predeceased by : his parents, Giovanni Basile and Catherine Oliverio Basile; his wife Mary Theresa Bartolo Basile; and his sister Angie Halcik. He is survived by : his children, Carla Comer (Michael) of Fairmont and Michael Basile (Amelia) of Pittsburgh; his grandchildren, Bryen, Braden Comer, Joseph and Mason Basile; and his niece Katie Oney of Cincinnati, Ohio..
