He was predeceased by: his parents, W. Herman Ferrebee and Hazel Ferrebee (Knight); his wife Donna Jean Postlethwait Ferrebee; his siblings, Howard (Garnet), Lee, Fred (Joyce), James "Tex" Ferrebee, Bernice Neff (Alvadore) and Mary Sarver (Russell); and his siblings-in-law, Edwin Blatt and Judith Ferrebee.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Ferrebee (Lorie) of Jewett and BJ Ghamandi (Dave) of Charlottesville, VA; his siblings, Leo Ferrebee, Ida Blatt and Donna Bullman (Dan); his sisters-in-law, Donna Bennett, Genelle Ferrebee and Christine Bowen; his grandchildren, Amy Tietz (Brad), Jennifer Cooper and Ryan Ferrebee; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Kylie and Lane; Mark, Joan Swallow, Barb Boyce and Sam Shriver. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Penny Royal Opera House in Fairview, Ohio to help continue Ray's love of live traditional bluegrass music or to Valley Hospice to help them assist other families by providing excellent end-of-life care.
