It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Marie Gilson (Wheeling, West Virginia), who passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilber Coleman and Elizabeth Coleman (Sprucebank); her husband William C. Gilson, Sr.; her siblings, Buddy Coleman, Richard Coleman (Dorothy), Edward Coleman (Mildred), Robert Coleman, Harold Coleman (Betty), Odette Armstrong, Dorothy St (Clarence) and Nellie Owings (Thomas); and her daughter-in-law Marguerite DeFilipo Gilson.
She is survived by: her children, William Gilson, Jr. (Donna), Tim Gilson (Cheryl), Tom Gilson (Stacy), Aileen Kelly (Joe) and James Gilson (Carrie). She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
