He was predeceased by: his parents, William Filben and Mabel Filben; his brothers, John and Kenneth Filben; and his son Byron "Buddy" Filben.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Filben (Burkle); his daughter-in-law Tracey Filben of Glen Dale, WV; his grandchildren, Shelby Garrett, Gregory Painter, Joshua Garrett, Cody Filben, Tanner Filben (Izzie), Abby Filben, Bailey Filben and Kailey Filben; and also, Gregory Filben (Kerry) of St. Louis, MO, Matthew Filben (Jill) of Morgantown, WV and Leslie Garrett (Pat) of Glen Dale, WV. He is also survived by his family and friends.
