Caroline F. Hackenberg Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Caroline F. Hackenberg of Wheeling, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 30, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Freund and Julia Freund (Sanovich); her husband William E. Hackenberg; her sons, Thomas and Robert Hackenberg; and her siblings, Virginia Hellrigel, Marie Zani, Joseph and William Freund.
She is survived by: her sons, James Hackenberg of Shinnston, WV and David Hackenberg (Melissa) of Pittsburgh, PA; her sister Julie Froble; her grandchildren, Dominic, Amber, Robert and Michael Hackenberg; her daughter-in-law Tammy Hackenberg; and her nibling Donnie Hellrigel.
