He was predeceased by: his parents, Vance Strittmatter and Nadine Strittmatter (Kliendenst); and his brothers, Mark and Lance Strittmatter. He is survived by: his girlfriend Melissa Lough; his son Brent Strittmatter (Amy); his granddaughters, Jordan and Sierra Strittmatter; his great grandchildren, Jude, Ozzy and Cillian; and his former wife Linda Griffin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
