It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ella M. McGill (Wheeling, West Virginia), who passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard McGill; her grandson Stephen McGill; her parents, Robert Smith and Elizabeth Smith (Conrad); and her siblings, Mary Louise Greathouse, Robert "Buzzy" Smith, Elizabeth "Betty" Long, Margaret Merryman, Theresa Risden, Alfred Smith, Rita "Jeanie" Radcliff, Paula Ruth Smith, Bertha Shrumpf, Patricia Ann Smith, John Paul Smith, Nancy Hawk, Michael Smith, James "Jimbo" Smith, Sandra "Sissy" James and Edward Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jamie Druschel (James), Terry Huggins (Jack), Shelia McGill and Mickey Sedinger (Joe); and her stepson Michael McGill. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Mass was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. John Catholic Church (622 Main St, Benwood, WV 26031). A burial was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (1685 National Rd, Wheeling, WV 26003).
