The passing of Jackie McFarland of Wheeling, West Virginia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 14, 2025 at the age of 83. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwood Winter and Danna Winter; her sister Yvonne Kucera; her great grandchild Ashlyn Merke; and her friend Barbara Dzwigala.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry McFarland; her children, Shari McFarland (Mark Gornik), C. J. and Danny (Shelley Quinn); and her grandchildren, Stefanie White (Charlie), Jacquelyn Cox, Cassandra Delbrugge, Ann Morgan (Matt), Joseph Merkle (Misty), Chas McFarland (Alyssa), John McFarland (Ava Peroni), Sean McFarland and Brandon McFarland.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Altmeyer Funeral Home - Elm Grove Chapel (154 Kruger St, Wheeling, WV 26003). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (2111 Market St, Wheeling, WV 26003). A burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mt Calvary Cemetery (1685 National Rd, Wheeling, WV 26003).
