Joseph P. Woc Obituary
JOSEPH WOC, 58 CALLED BY DEATH,
ST. CLAIRSVILLE, OHIO. Joseph P. Woc, 58, retired miner of Crabapple, died Friday morning at 9:30 o’clock in the North Wheeling Hospital following an illness of the past two years. Mr. Woc, a native of Poland, was born on Nov. 25, 1894, and coming to the United States as a young man has resided in the St. Clairsville area the past 40 years. For a number of years he was employed with the Warren Colleries mine in Crabapple. Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Victoria Russnack Woc, five daughters, Mrs. Emil (Helen) Foltin, St. Clairsville, R. D. 1, Mrs. Carl (Wanda) Koesel, Mrs. Andrew (Antonia) Malenda, Mrs. Michael (Stella) Durichko, Mrs. John (Mary) Schlatt all of Cleveland, two sons, Edward Woc of Cleveland, Gerald Woc at home, another son, Walter Woc lost his life in Guadalcanal in World War II. Also surviving is his mother, Mrs. Antonia Domski, Fairpoint, two sisters, Mrs. Nick Nowosadzki, Mrs. Joseph Klosek of Fairpoint and 9 grandchildren. The body was brought to the Beck Funeral Home pending funeral services which will probably be held Monday and Interment will be made in Union Cemetery.
