He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lee Persinger; his parents, Thelma Persinger and Clayton Persinger; his brothers, Clayton Lee Persinger and George Persinger; and his friend Robert Thomas Barr.
He is survived by: his children, Samuel Persinger (Kimberly) and Mary Beth Chaplin (Kevin); his grandsons, Levi Persinger (Brittany), Marshall Eckelberry (Jenna) and Aaron Rine (Kerry); and his great grandchildren, Easton, Walker, Aspen Persinger, Jaxson and Jensen Rine. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, and family friends.
