Maxine Burkey Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maxine Burkey (Wheeling, West Virginia), born in Glen Easton, West Virginia, who passed away on December 27, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph M Aston and Gertrude Aston (Ryan); her husbands, Eugene Francis and Arch Burkey, Sr.; her siblings, Thomas "Cy" Aston, Joseph "Buck" Aston, Harry "Buster" Aston, Don Aston, Henry Aston, Johnny Aston, Mary Peggy Kuhn, Emma Davis and Judy Aston; her stepchildren, Arch Burkey, Jr. and Martha Tyndall; and her daughter Deborah Schwing of Moundsville, WV.

She is survived by: her sons, David Francis of Cameron, WV and Samuel Francis (Alice) of Wheeling, WV; her stepdaughters, Linda Matthews of Adens, OH and Cathy Marchol (Dominic) of Cleveland, OH; and her siblings, Ike Aston of Windham, OH, Paul "Jack" Aston (Susan) of Glen Easton, WV, Patty Myers of Moundsville, WV and Anna Emerson (Mike) of Goose Creek, SC. She is also survived by six grandchildren; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.
