Ruth M. Abrigg Obituary
ABRIGG, Ruth M., 83, of Bridgeport, Ohio, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014. She was born February 13, 1931 in Rosby's Rock, W.Va., the daughter of the late Arthur and Doris Hipkins Maxwell. She was an active member of the Ash Avenue Church of God in Moundsville, W.Va., the WCG Women of the Church of God Missionary Group, the Quilter's Circle, the Sister's Café, and the Ash Avenue Church of God Sunday school.
She was an LPN at Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, W.Va. In addition to her parent's, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Sue Abrigg, and two brothers, Arthur Lee Maxwell Jr., and Paul David Maxwell. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Edwin George Abrigg; two daughters, Joyce Abrigg Foster of Wheeling, W.Va., and Rosemarie (Alpha) Abrigg-Jah of Gahanna, Ohio; two brothers, Glenn (Catherine) Maxwell of Bellaire, Ohio, and Willard (Naomi) Maxwell of Missouri, Texas; and two grandchildren, Margarette (Matthew) Jah-Lahrmer, and Sulaiman Adam Edwin Jah.
Friends will be received on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the CARE Funeral Home, 1500 Second Street, Moundsville, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 10 am with Pastor Scott Haynes officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, Ohio.
