He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William and Margaret Eileen Atherton (Younger). He is survived by: his wife Lois Jane Atherton (Guyer); his sisters, Clare Hobbs (Gerry), Amy Atherton and Sally Atherton; and his siblings' children, Sara Windom and Jeff Hobbs.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Schuetz Funeral Home (4719 Jacob St, Wheeling, WV 26003). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
