He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, James Simmons and Claudene Cole Simmons; his daughter Sheri James; his siblings, Buddy Simmons and Betty Lou Watson; his wife Kathy; his sons, Jay and John Simmons (Tess); his grandsons, Josh Reed (Jo-Ellen) and Christopher Reed; his great grandchild Kameron; his siblings, Patsy Richmond (James) and David Simmons; and his pet Melissa.
